With support from the Women’s Library/Make, Goldsmiths College, University of London and Procreate Project, Made & Published initiated and produced this piece by calling artists to submit images and text. The collection is the result of editing the submitted materials (sound, performance and visual arts) into a collection of photozines, that either document or translate the works into the artist’s book format.
The resulting site-specific installation drew upon the concept and space of the library whilst creating an alternative archive reflecting on M/othering and creative practice.
ProCreate Project is a platform that aims to provide practical help and financial support for artists, enabling them to continue producing work during pregnancy and motherhood.
Below are some examples of the 129 works that were submitted and displayed.
